 How To Grow Turnip Purple Top Seeds

Pot Size :
You Can use 24×12 Inch or 12×12 Inch Grow bag for planting Turnip Purple Top Seeds . If you want to grow in Plastic pot use minimum 12 Inch pot . The bigger pots/ Grow Bags will provide more space and more nutrient to the plant .

Soil Requirements:
Turnip Purple Top need moist but well-drained, nutrient-rich soil.  Use soil mix with combination of Red Soil , Vermicompost and Cocopeat at a ratio of (2:1:1) . Also add 2-5% of Neem Powder to the soil mix. Neem Powder will act as fungicide. Avoid over-fertilizing with nitrogen.

Seed Placement :
Sow the seeds 1/2 to 1 inch deep and 6 inches apart. Press lightly and keep evenly moist. Seedlings may emerge in 7-14 days.

Light requirements:
Turnips generally require a full sun location but will tolerate partial shade.

Water Requirements:
Turnips do not need much care, but consistent soil moisture is important. Water regularly to keep soil lightly moist.
