 How To Grow Thyme from seeds

Pot Size : Thyme can be grown in 9×9 Grow bag or container which must have 9 inch depth.

Soil Requirements:
Thyme will grow in any well-drained soil. Use soil mix with combination of Red Soil , Vermicompost and sand at a ratio of (2:1:1) . Also add 2-5% of Neem Powder to the soil mix. Neem Powder will act as fungicide.

Sowing Seeds : 
Sprinkle the seeds over the soil and cover them with 1-2 cm of potting mix. Don’t cover it too deep. Germination is slow taking from 14 to 28 days.

Light and Water requirements:

Thyme needs a plenty of sunlight. If you want to grow Indoors, find a sunny window for your thyme. Thyme is drought-resistant, so only give a thorough watering, when the soil is completely dry.

Common issues:

Common garden pests attacking thyme include spider mites and aphids. You may use a pesticide like Protector-Bio Insecticide for Pest Control, Guardian-Bio Insecticide or Neem oil.

Harvesting:

Harvest thyme just before the plant flowers by cutting off the top five to six inches of growth.
