 How To Grow 

Pot Size :
You Can use 18×18 Inch Grow bag for planting Squash . If you want to grow in Plastic pot use minimum 15 Inch pot . The bigger pots/ Grow Bags will provide more space and more nutrient to the plant .

Soil Requirements:
Squash need moist but well-drained, nutrient-rich soil.  Use soil mix with combination of Red Soil , Vermicompost and Cocopeat at a ratio of (2:1:1) . Also add 2-5% of Neem Powder to the soil mix. Neem Powder will act as fungicide. Avoid over-fertilizing with nitrogen.

Seed Placement :
Sow the squash seeds directly 1 inch deep in the soil and 6-8 inches apart.

Light requirements:
Squash plants require full sun. It requires at least 6 hours of sunlight per day.

Water Requirements:
Watering early , keep the soil moist. Also, avoid over-watering. Squash roots also need both oxygen. Waterlogged soil means the roots can’t get any oxygen, causing the squash to drown and develop root rot.

Common issues:  Vine borers, squash bugs, downy mildew and cucurbit yellow vine disease (CYVD) attack squash plants. CYVD is a bacterial disease transmitted by squash bugs that can quickly kill plants as they start to fruit. Use our Bio Insecticide Guardian for removing leaf curling and White flies .

Harvesting: Early picking increases crop yield because regular harvesting encourages the plant to continue fruit production. If fruit becomes large or rots on the vine, fruit production halts and overall yield declines.
