How To Grow Garlic Chives
Pot Size :
You Can use 24*9 or 24*9 Inch Grow bag for planting Garlic Chives Seeds . If you want to grow in Plastic pot use minimum 9 Inch pot . The bigger pots/ Grow Bags will provide more space and more nutrient to the plant .
Soil Requirements:
Garlic Chives need moist but well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Use soil mix with combination of Red Soil , Vermicompost and Cocopeat at a ratio of (2:1:1) . Also add 2-5% of Neem Powder to the soil mix. Neem Powder will act as fungicide.
Seed Placement :
sow garlic Chives seeds indoors (for about 8-10 weeks) in a dark spot at a temperature range of 15 to 21 degree C once the seeds sprout move the container into the light. As soon as the chive plant reaches 6 inches, transplant it outdoor.
Light requirements:
Plant chives in full sun or partial shade.
Water Requirements:
Water Chives consistently throughout the growing season for high yields. Moisten the soil thoroughly while watering.
Common issues:

Harvesting: harvest plants when it reaches at least 6 inches tall about 5 weeks after planting. Cut leaves with garden scissors or sharp knife. Cut the outer leaves first. Harvest from the base of leaves to avoid plants with cut tops. Leave about 2 inches of leaf blade above the soil in order for the leaves to regrow.
